So, we all know how this little pageant ends, right? After the oil stops spewing from the ocean floor and BPs president ,Tony Hayward takes the blame (or at least a international public flogging), he'll "resign" with no doubt a HUGE severance package -- a "thank you" for being the scapegoat -- and live out his days as the rich a-hole he already is. Some other company will probably even hire him as their leader or at least as a highly compensated "consultant."
After some more handwringing and some new "regulations" and some sort of "reform" of existing practices, we'll go right back to the same practices. Another missed opportunity. Another purposeless sacrifice.
